Sharing Jesus in the Dominican Republic.

Tina and I left on August 13 for a SHARE HIM Mission Trip with four young adults (ages 18–31) from South Bay! I heard from SHARE HIM that we are the first team from GCC to participate in this program. I wanted to say thank you so much for supporting the SHARE HIM program. South Bay hopes to send a team each year moving forward.

We are currently in the Dominican Republic. We experienced rain last night due to Hurricane Erin, and although attendance was affected, we still received great reports. My own son, Jason, made an appeal last night, and seven non-SDA guests came forward. I was especially moved by a video I saw of the moment—he was clearly choked up during his appeal. His interpreter, a young law student, was deeply inspired by how God moved in the meeting. Our SHARE HIMmanager, who is from France, also had tears in his eyes as he happened to be present at that moment.

Although we are the only team that came to Nagua, SHARE HIM proceeded with the trip, and we are witnessing God’s blessings. Other sites have seen responses as well. One of our young adults, Sibella Gill, shared during worship this morning how she almost backed out of the trip due to other responsibilities. As she shared how much this trip is blessing her, large tears streamed down her cheeks.

I am incredibly thankful for GCC and the Southern Union’s support of the SHARE HIM program. It is truly designed to make an impact on our young adults—and I can personally testify that it is doing just that. To see the young adults in my church so engaged and moved by the Spirit is thrilling. Tina and I each have preaching sites as well, so in total, six churches are being served.

Thank you again,
Jeremy Arnall

The Healing Journey.

This is the story of Kristina, Kyle, and Crosswalk Chattanooga. Many weeks at Crosswalk, there is a baptism. On Easter weekend, April 19, Kristina will be baptized, and Kyle will be welcomed through the profession of faith. Dozens of their friends and family from multiple states and six different denominational backgrounds will pour into town to experience the Easter service and witness their commitment. Several of those family members no longer attend the church of their past but cling to their relationship with Jesus through Crosswalk’s sermon podcast. Kristina and Kyle independently moved to the Chattanooga area, found each other, and got married in 2015. Kristina grew up in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cincinnati, while Kyle was raised in the Church of Christ in Nashville. By the time they met, neither had attended church for some time because of spiritual wounds, feelings of irrelevance, and the struggle to reconcile their religions with the Jesus depicted in scripture. Thro...

Celebrating New Beginnings

As we reflect on the past two weeks, our hearts overflow with gratitude for the amazing blessings God has showered upon us in fulfilling the mission that Jesus entrusted to our community. The period leading up to Pentecost 2025 has been transformative, energizing, and filled with divine inspiration. From March 15 to March 30, the North Gwinnett and Central Lawrenceville SDA Churches joined forces to host powerful evangelistic campaigns, a labor of love led by the passionate Pastor Rainier Camejo of the Nebraska Conference and other dedicated leaders. These events have not only ignited spiritual growth within our congregations but have also opened the doors for new believers to step forward in faith. We are overjoyed to announce that, through these campaigns, we have welcomed 15 new souls into the Kingdom of God! Each baptism represents a profound commitment—an affirmation of faith—and we have celebrated these precious moments together as a family. The joy and hope reflected on the face...

The Power of Faith and Persistence: A Journey to Baptism

Sometimes, life's journeys take unexpected turns. Twenty years ago, I started Bible studies with a remarkable lady. We delved into the depths of our faith, but at that time, she hesitated to take the final step of baptism. Life whisked me away, and I lost touch with her. Yet, God had a plan that would bring our paths back together. Fast forward to a year ago, I found myself moving back to the same area where we first studied. Little did I know, the hand of God was at work. As I settled back into this familiar community, I crossed paths with my old friend. It was a divine reunion that reignited our spiritual connection. I felt compelled to ask her if she would be interested in studying again, and to my joy, she agreed. Armed with the support of a fellow church member, we embarked on a renewed journey of faith together. We explored Scripture, shared stories, and prayed. It was a beautiful experience filled with laughter, questions, and spiritual growth. Throughout our studies, I was ...
